No. 4 - CARZ did an inspection, an oil change and a brake inspection a couple of weeks ago and reported that the brake pads in front were down to 2 mm and in back to 4 mm. This meant we needed new brake pads and a turning of the rotors. They also indicated the front struts should be replaced. I took the car back in to get the brakes serviced. When I picked it up in a rush to make an appointment I heard thumping coming from the right front wheel when the brakes were applied. I had never heard that before. I took the car back to CARZ later in the day thinking it was a loose caliper. When I got there CARZ folks indicated that they had flagged the struts as needing attention now and proceeded to jack it up to show me the issue in realtime. Wow am I glad they flagged it too bad I had not taken the time to read the warning when I picked it up in a hurry earlier in the day. These folks are good and saved the day for us as we were planning to go on a long road trip in two days. They squeezed me in the next day to replace the front struts. We went on the trip glad to have CARZ as my auto service shop. No. 3 - CARZ replaced the Steering bushing in my 2013 Elantra GT and did an outstanding job. It is a flexible rubber coupler component in a Hyundai Elantra and Sonata car that connects the steering wheel to the steering rack. A four wheel alignment was also needed to fix the issue properly. The results were miraculous. It drives like a new car. The replacement part costs $17.66 and $405.00 to replace in labor. There are YouTube videos showing what an onerous job it is to fix this poorly designed steering arrangement, Hyundai would have replaced it under an extended warranty if I had less than 100,000 miles on it. I missed out on this cause it was not advertised and I was not aware of the issue till the car got close to a 110,000 miles. If you have this issue bring it to CARZ for an expert fix. No. 2 - I took my manual 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT for its 128k service. CARZ gave it a detailed inspection which I thought was great. Finding that my transmission fluid was over due for replacement . I noticed this is not in the Owners manual. They have inspect it but not replace it. The reply for a Google search says the manual transmission fluid in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra should be changed every 30,000-60,000 miles. Am glad CARZ recommended this. No. 1- Scheduled a state inspection week before for 8:45 am. Took it in the scheduled date and great it was done in a very short time. This was my first time there. We will take our two vehicles there from now on. One of them is an F250 diesel they said they could handle its maintenance work. My F250 service was turned down elsewhere.
