No. 4 - CARZ did an inspection, an oil change and a brake inspection a couple of weeks ago and reported that the brake pads in front were down to 2 mm and in back to 4 mm. This meant we needed new brake pads and a turning of the rotors. They also indicated the front struts should be replaced. I took the car back in to get the brakes serviced. When I picked it up in a rush to make an appointment I heard thumping coming from the right front wheel when the brakes were applied. I had never heard that before. I took the car back to CARZ later in the day thinking it was a loose caliper. When I got there CARZ folks indicated that they had flagged the struts as needing attention now and proceeded to jack it up to show me the issue in realtime. Wow am I glad they flagged it too bad I had not taken the time to read the warning when I picked it up in a hurry earlier in the day. These folks are good and saved the day for us as we were planning to go on a long road trip in two days. They squeezed me in the next day to replace the front struts. We went on the trip glad to have CARZ as my auto service shop. No. 3 - CARZ replaced the Steering bushing in my 2013 Elantra GT and did an outstanding job. It is a flexible rubber coupler component in a Hyundai Elantra and Sonata car that connects the steering wheel to the steering rack. A four wheel alignment was also needed to fix the issue properly. The results were miraculous. It drives like a new car. The replacement part costs $17.66 and $405.00 to replace in labor. There are YouTube videos showing what an onerous job it is to fix this poorly designed steering arrangement, Hyundai would have replaced it under an extended warranty if I had less than 100,000 miles on it. I missed out on this cause it was not advertised and I was not aware of the issue till the car got close to a 110,000 miles. If you have this issue bring it to CARZ for an expert fix. No. 2 - I took my manual 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT for its 128k service. CARZ gave it a detailed inspection which I thought was great. Finding that my transmission fluid was over due for replacement . I noticed this is not in the Owners manual. They have inspect it but not replace it. The reply for a Google search says the manual transmission fluid in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra should be changed every 30,000-60,000 miles. Am glad CARZ recommended this. No. 1- Scheduled a state inspection week before for 8:45 am. Took it in the scheduled date and great it was done in a very short time. This was my first time there. We will take our two vehicles there from now on. One of them is an F250 diesel they said they could handle its maintenance work. My F250 service was turned down elsewhere.

The usual careful attention to detail in diagnosing correctly the first time, reasonable timing to get in for repairs, flawless service in making the cars right again, and really good communication. I do note things seem to cost more than they used to - mostly general inflation, I suppose - and CARZ isn't the bargain basement place for repairs that it had been. If I could give this business 10 stars, I would! Our daughter attends college in Asheville, which is about 2 hours from us. Her car left her stranded with a check engine light on and unable to drive it. She attends classes full time and works about an hour away. Needless to say we were in a tough spot on getting her car diagnosed and repaired quickly, with the hopes of not being taken advantage of, since we are not local and at their mercy. I dealt with Andrew and Matt on getting AAA to tow her car there and CARZ to diagnose/repair. While the repair was not a major engine repair, luckily, it was something they had to work in and juggle between existing appointments to help us get it back to her as quickly as possible. After fixing the original issue, I asked if they would be able to work in an oil change while it was there. They were beyond awesome in doing this as well. Thankfully, because in the process they found one of her front tires had an "egg bubble" on the inside sidewall that we were completely unaware of. They sent pictures and went above and beyond to get us tires delivered the same day and put on. She had one day off and they managed to get everything taken care of so she would have her car to use the next day and were not only professional, but definitely displayed exceptional customer service. I can rest assured now that we have found a honest, fair, and professional repair shop we can use in the future for her car. That piece of mind, for a mother two hours away from her college-age daughter, is priceless. Thank you Andrew and Matt! You guys are awesome!

While heading home from camping our popup trailer tire went flat. Fortunately it happened near C.A.R. The valve stem was bad but despite the tires being fairly worn the folks at C.A.R. didn't try to sell us what we didn't need. They replaced the valve stem and treated us like we had just bought a new set of tires. Great, HONEST, downright nice folks.

I have been using Carz in Horseshoe since November 2022. From that first appointment, I knew this was where I wanted to bring my car for any repairs and maintenance that I need. Andrew always listens to my concerns about my car and he as well as his employees go above and beyond to evaluate my car issues. I have had to stop by on two different occasions for an immediate concern and even though they are always very busy, Andrew made sure my car was looked at and safe for me to continue driving. CARZ was recommended to me by my USAA auto insurance when my check engine light came on during a road trip.
